Born 1935. He studied at Glasgow School of Art between 1963 and 1967. He retired from teaching art in 1991 to take up painting full time. With a bold pallet, his style is that of the Scottish Colourist. But his style is also that of the Impressionists with his superb ability to capture and portray atmosphere. MacDonald’s work is part of many serious private and corporate collections.
