| Born in Dublin in 1962 he was reared in Donegal. He is completely self-taught. Sharkey was an accomplished Irish dancer during hi youth. He was a full time artist at the age of 14. His paintings are vivid in colour and composition. They are dynamic. This is in keeping with their charismatic creator. Sharkey is a truly international Irish artist with work in private collections around the world and numerous sell out solo exhibitions.
